This is a great smoothie recipe for the summer which you can also serve in a bowl as illustrated. The recipe contains nine grams of protein to help keep your blood sugar levels stable – think better energy and mood – and kiwi fruit, which is one of the richest sources of vitamin C (they even have more Vitamin C than oranges). The hemp seeds are also loaded with healthy fats.
Green smoothie bowl
Ingredients
- 2 bananas chopped and frozen
- 120 grams baby spinach
- 356 millilitres of water
- 2 ice cubes
- 2 kiwis peeled
- 10 grams coconut flakes
- 18 grams slithered almonds
- 20 grams hemp seeds
Method
Blend the frozen banana, baby spinach, water and ice cubes together. Divide between bowls and then decorate with the remaining ingredients for a smoothie bowl. If you wanted to make just a smoothie drink, blend everything together & enjoy
